"We do not bring innovation to young people. We build the space where they discover they are already capable of it."

— Bryanna Bone, Founder & CEO, OXIE

"What we have in this generation isn't a skills crisis. It's an identity crisis."

The Studio

Where ideas become reality

Our Studio Corners are the Studio's everyday spaces: no sign-up, no commitment, just walk in. This is where young people land first — whether they're cooking, coding, making art, playing pool, or just finding somewhere quiet to work. Every corner is built to be used, not observed.

Ages 12–25 Free or heavily subsidised for those who cannot afford to pay After school, every week

Coding Corner

Drop-in sessions and workshops for AI-assisted coding and vibe coding, on computers and cyberdecks.

Study Corner

A cafe-style space for solo or group work, with a whiteboard wall for brainstorming, think tanks, and presentations.

Art Corner

Drop-in sessions and workshops for upcycling recycled materials and art therapy.

Youth Kitchen

Workshops turning cooking into hands-on STEM — chemistry, engineering, maths, biology — alongside fostering sustainability, creativity, and self-sufficiency.

Games Corner

Drop-in pool, bookshelves, and board games for recharging between working blocks.

Cafe Corner

A student-run cafe stocked with food and snacks donated by local businesses.

Structured programmes

Beyond the Corners sit the Studio's structured programmes: scheduled, mentor-led, and built around real problems, real partners, and real outputs.

OXIE Research Academy

The Studio's beta-testing and market research programme. EdTech companies and technology organisations pay to access Studio cohorts as researchers and product testers — credible, ethical insight from the generation using these tools.

OXIE Venture Academy

Long-form projects where young people take on a real problem and build an innovative solution, working alongside industry mentors over 8–12 weeks. Projects are presented at quarterly showcase events.

Hackathons

Intensive 24–48 hour innovation challenges built around real community problems, with mentorship from industry professionals.

Drone Football Club

A permanent weekly Drone Football club — building STEM skills, teamwork, and pathways into the UK drone industry through competitive play. Delivered in partnership with Drone Football.

Innovation isn't just AI and deep tech. It's fashion, food, education, politics, and every other pioneering way to improve the world around us.

Youth Innovation Events is where that same ecosystem becomes visible. Youth Innovation Days like our Edinburgh gathering at the National Robotarium put young people directly in the room with government, business, and tech leaders, carrying their voice straight into policy.
